We want everyone to be able to enjoy Sugar Leaf online. Here's where we stand, and how to reach us if something isn't working for you.

1. Our Commitment

SUGAR LEAF COFFEE ROASTERIE LLC ("Sugar Leaf," "we," "us," "our") is committed to making www.sugarleafcoffee.com (the "Site") usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation.

2. Standard We're Working Toward

We're working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA - the standard most commonly used to measure website accessibility, including by U.S. regulators for public-sector sites and courts assessing accessibility claims against private businesses. This is an ongoing effort, not a one-time fix: we review the Site for accessibility on a regular basis and whenever we make significant changes to it.

3. What We're Working On

Steps we're actively working on right now:

  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, so screen readers can describe what's shown

  • A clear, consistent heading structure on every page

  • Keyboard-operable navigation, menus, cart, and checkout - you shouldn't need a mouse to buy coffee from us

  • Text and button colors checked for sufficient contrast against their backgrounds

  • Clearly labeled form fields on our checkout and wholesale inquiry forms

  • Built on Squarespace, whose platform includes built-in accessibility features (semantic markup, ARIA landmarks, responsive/zoom-friendly layouts) that we rely on and monitor

4. Known Limitations

Some parts of the Site depend on third-party tools we don't fully control - for example, our payment processor's checkout fields, and any embedded social media content. If you run into a barrier in one of these areas, please tell us; we'll look for a workaround or a fix.
